Dr Bernard Tan is an enthusiastic music educator who has began teaching since he was a teenager. He is a competent and knowledgeable educator teaching in various branches of the classical music field. He works with pianists on collaborative piano, solo performance, chamber music and pedagogy; with singers on music interpretation and styles, role preparation in operas, and lyric diction of 9 languages. Bernard's experience as a classical singer, choir member, woodwind player in the orchestra, and conductor has provided him valuable perspectives in being a well-rounded music educator.
